The active unit contains a stereo poweramp that drives the passive cab. One volume controls both units, which means that both units are always balanced between left and right. This is better than any of the reviews give it credit for. It simply sounds amazing with the axe fx 3, I tried it with a DSM simplifier and the red sound brought it to life. Simply a fantastic frfr. 100% recommend especially when you compare that for the price you’re getting a stereo setup. It makes the high price more comparable. Just buy it
